Containerized Data Center

IT modular data centers are integrated micro data centers that use standard shipping containers as carriers. They are prefabricated in the factory and integrate server racks, cooling, power supply and distribution, fire protection, environmental monitoring, and cabling systems. They are ready for operation after being fully commissioned at the factory and transported and hoisted. They can be put into operation after simple on-site connection. They are the core unit of modular data centers and are also called containerized IT data centers or computing power modular data centers.

Product Description

Standard Size Specifications

The mainstream standard is the ISO standard for ocean shipping containers, but non-standard sizes can be customized.

10 -foot container: Small edge node, 4–8 IT racks, load capacity 50–150kW

20 -foot container: Most versatile, 12–24 containers, 150–500kW, preferred for edge/small computing power.

40 -foot modular container: High-density computing power, 24–48 containers, 500kW–2MW, AI and cloud computing clusters.

The internal clear height is ≥3.7m and the clear width of the passageway is ≥1.5m, meeting the standards for equipment operation, maintenance and handling.

Core Advantages (Compared to Traditional Civil Engineering Computer Rooms)

With 80% of the processes prefabricated in the factory, the traditional data center takes 6–12 months to build, while the mobile cabin can be powered on and put into production in just 15–30 days. It can be mass-produced in parallel, making it suitable for rapid deployment of computing power projects.

Flexible and elastic expansion with the addition of cabins as needed; initial small-batch deployment; business growth with direct addition of new cabins in parallel, without the need for a large one-time civil engineering investment; idle cabins can be relocated and reused as a whole.

The site requirements are very low, requiring no dedicated computer room construction; a flat, hardened ground is sufficient. It is suitable for open spaces in industrial parks, substations, mines, outdoor areas, and the renovation of old factories, without the need for large-scale civil engineering and decoration.

The factory's standardized assembly line ensures stable and controllable quality, and the factory conducts a full-load 72-hour joint commissioning test before delivery, avoiding the problem of inconsistent construction quality among multiple trades on site.

It has strong environmental adaptability and can operate outdoors in all weather conditions. It is suitable for a wide temperature range of -40℃ to 55℃, and is dustproof, moisture-proof, corrosion-proof, and earthquake-resistant. It is suitable for mining, Gobi Desert, seaside, and emergency rescue scenarios.

The green, low-PUE integrated energy-saving solutions, including natural cooling and liquid cooling, significantly reduce energy consumption compared to traditional data center cooling, meeting the low-carbon computing power requirements.

Typical Application Scenarios

Edge computing (MEC) 5G base station support, park edge computing power, traffic monitoring, and industrial IoT nodes (accounting for over 60% of the modular computing market).

AI computing power/cloud computing cluster East-West computing support, enterprise private cloud, render farm, high-density liquid-cooled container for large model training

Temporary/emergency computing power for live streaming of competitions, short-term scientific research projects, post-disaster emergency communications, and disaster relief command centers; relocatable after use.

Industry-specific scenarios: smart mines (dust and explosion protection), computing power cabins in power substations, oil and gas field stations, polar scientific expeditions, and military machine rooms.

Existing campus expansion: Campuses lack space for new data center construction; stacking modular units on vacant land allows for rapid expansion of computing power.

IT Mobile Cabin Supporting Combination Model

Integrated single-cabinet: Small 20-foot unit, integrating IT, air conditioning, and UPS all in one enclosure; plug and play; edge-oriented preferred.

Multi-compartment cluster

IT modular housing: only for server racks

Cold storage unit container: External chiller/cooling tower for centralized cooling.

Power storage container: large-capacity UPS, multi-compartment pipeline and cable interconnection for lithium battery packs, suitable for MW-level large-scale computing power bases.

Firefighting: Automatic fire extinguishing system using clean gas

Monitoring: 24/7 remote real-time monitoring and automatic alarm
